I mean, imagine the kind of clout Twilight would have if it had been done correctly. If it had accurately portrayed that absolutely arresting romance that people spend their whole lives searching for. If it had been handled with the proper respect, I don’t think there would be complaints about the writing style, or fantasy fulfillment, or Bella being misogynistic. Because that’s what happens when projects are done well. People appreciate them and nothing else is said about it. So for me, I like to imagine Twilight is perpetually in an underground phase, with the dream team, and that is totally an actual thing. Because it reminds me of the magic I felt when I read the first two books.
